Products
Many Toskani products contain fragrance. How is this managed?
The fragrances comply with European regulations, evaluated for skin safety.
What does "fragrance" mean in Toskani products?
The difference between cosmetic fragrance and perfumes. In cosmetics, “Parfum/Fragrance” is a blend of aromatic compounds that provides a pleasant scent and is incorporated with suitable solvents. Perfumes, on the other hand, are designed to scent the skin and are usually dissolved in alcohol. At Toskani, “Fragrance/Parfum” indicates a cosmetic fragrance.
When will I start to see results with Toskani products?
The results depend on the protocol and the patient's clinical response.
Can I use several products at the same time?
Combination is recommended under an adapted professional protocol.

Use allowed with photoprotection depending on the active ingredient applied.
What should I do if I have a skin reaction?
Evaluate skin reaction and adjust protocol or discontinue treatment.
Are the products suitable for sensitive skin?
Assess individual tolerance and specific protocol.
Which products contain alcohol and at what level?
It depends on the formulation: Degreasing Solution → high content
Alcohol content → If alcohol is present, what is its function (for example, enhancing penetration, supporting antimicrobial preservation, texture/feel, quick drying) and how is the risk of irritation managed?
If denatured alcohol / ethanol is included in a product, its function depends on the specific formulation. It can help with the texture and absorption of the ingredients.
Recommendations according to skin type (normal, sensitive, post-treatment) when using products that contain fragrance and/or alcohol
All products have been evaluated by dermatologists. It is recommended to perform a sensitivity test on the forearm before full use.
New developments – meaning and availability When you say "in our new developments we are incorporating fragrances without declarable allergens," can you confirm if this refers to: products already on the market (if so, which ones?), or products currently in development / future launches? Confirmation of ingredients and product list.
I received a question from one of our partners about the active ingredient turmeric in our Hair Loss Lotion.
They had been advised not to use a shampoo from their own range that contains turmeric during the summer or periods of increased sun exposure. Do we have any restrictions regarding this? As for the use of our Hair Loss Lotion during the summer or periods of increased sun exposure, the active ingredients derived from Curcuma longa (Vita Smart and Vita Stem) are not photosensitizing and can be used normally, even during sun exposure. Additionally, since the lotion is applied to the scalp, direct exposure to sunlight is limited. Based on our experience, we have been recommending this treatment year-round for many years without any issues related to sun exposure. For people with sensitive scalps, we always recommend adjusting the frequency of use according to tolerance.
Regarding the penetration of PDRN in Lumicen Boost Serum, could you share any scientific evidence about PDRN's ability to penetrate the stratum corneum and act in the dermis? Based on the "500 Dalton rule," molecules larger than 500 Da usually have limited penetration through intact skin, while PDRN has a much higher molecular weight (>50 kDa). Could you help clarify the mechanism that allows the PDRN in this product to still provide biological effects? Is it through indirect signaling via keratinocytes? Or is there a specific delivery system that enhances penetration? Do you have in vitro, ex vivo, or clinical data to support this?
Interaction with epidermal cells, particularly keratinocytes, can subsequently modulate dermal signaling cascades through the release of cytokines and growth factors. This leads to biological stimulation at superficial levels of the skin, contributing to tissue regeneration, improved skin quality, and strengthening of the epidermal barrier. The use of different molecular weight fractions within the PDRN Complex allows penetration at different skin levels. The studies conducted by Toskani are in vivo studies performed using Cutometer measurements or GAIS improvement scales (assessment of the skin's mechanical properties). Other studies presented in the presentation are manufacturer-sponsored studies or based on published bibliographic references.
Regarding "PDRN Complex," could you elaborate on the "PDRN Complex" technology used in the product? Does it involve fragmentation into smaller molecular sizes? If so, what is the molecular weight distribution? Do different fragments have distinct biological roles?
Product differentiation. Since there are many products based on PDRN/PN on the market, could you clarify the key differentiation factors of Lumicen Boost Serum? Origin and purification of PDRN, delivery system/formulation, any demonstrated synergy with other ingredients (e.g., multimolecular HA), any clinical data or comparisons with other PDRN products.
The client has Potenza, an RF microneedling device. Could you indicate if the products are heat-sensitive and what the safe temperature limit is during use?
This type of laser can be used as an active ingredient delivery therapy, like any other. The protocol would be: perform the laser treatment to improve skin permeability and then apply the meso products topically to increase the absorption of active ingredients and reduce recovery time.
Has any treatment been performed in combination with LaseMD Ultra, a non-ablative fractional laser that uses a 1927 nm Thulium laser?
This type of laser can be used as an active ingredient delivery therapy, like any other. The protocol would be: perform the laser treatment to improve skin permeability and then apply the meso products topically to increase the absorption of active ingredients and reduce recovery time.
Can someone with a nut allergy use mandelic acid peeling?
Yes, a patient with a nut allergy can undergo a mandelic acid peel. Although mandelic acid was originally derived from bitter almonds, the mandelic acid used in cosmetic formulations is synthetic and does not contain nut allergens. As a precaution, it is recommended to perform a patch test (apply a small drop on the patient's forearm) to assess skin tolerance.
Does Toskani outsource the manufacturing of any of its products?
Toskani is the legal manufacturer of its products. All cosmetic formulations are developed internally in our R&D laboratory, and manufacturing is carried out in compliance with quality standards and applicable regulations under the responsibility of Toskani.
Is Neopenmed spring-loaded or piston-driven?
NeopenMED is a professional motorized microneedling device designed to improve skin quality and enhance the penetration of active ingredients. It does not use a spring or piston mechanism. The device creates controlled microchannels in the skin using ultra-fine needles, allowing solutions or other active ingredients to penetrate more effectively. The treatment is performed manually by the professional, who adjusts the needle depth and speed according to the area to be treated and the desired result.
